I'm a Chicago-based motion designer, animator, and video editor with over a decade of experience bringing ideas to life across animation, illustrating, advertising, and independent film.

I've produced short films, sketches, and social media content with various independent film groups. I’m most proud of the shorts Bad Eggs (StiffBrew Productions) and Rooting Around (Eat Before Swimming Productions) which I wrote, directed, and acted in.

I draw and animate as well. I have illustrated for both a children’s book and informational cartoons. This past year I was a staff animator for an animated pilot with Serious Fools Entertainment.

Most recently my animation work has been used in a series of explainer videos for a tech startup called Brain-CA. I partnered with them to develop scripts and cartoon explanations to help describe high level concepts about their technology. I used Procreate and After Effects to design, draw, and animate those videos.

I love to write. In my freetime, I write scripts and short stories that I can draw along with. I’d love to turn some into animated shows or films someday!

what i’m working on right now

“NURSE” - Animated Nonfiction

A series of short videos using animation to visualize stories from audio interviews that I conducted with an anonymous O.R. nurse.

The characters are all hand-drawn in Procreate using a smear-heavy cell animation style and compiling everything in After Effects where I am able to subtly transition between fully cell-drawn sequences and more motion controlled elements (even some fully rigged characters).

For now, these are formatted and cut for social media. I’m making these all on my own and doing a lot of experimentation along the way. I’ve been developing the animation style and the general look as I go. As I continue sharing my work through these stories, I am hoping to further develop this concept into more substantial, longer-form piece.
